Here are the answers to some of the most common questions that people ask about the American Heroes festival.

Q: Is there a fee to attend the American Heroes festival?

A: No!  American Heroes is a FREE event.  There are some activities, such as the carnival, that have a participation fee.

Q: Is there a parking fee?

A: No! Parking is absolutely free.

Q: Are dogs allowed?

A: Yes! Dogs are allowed at the event so long as they are non-aggressive and well behaved, on a 6' non-retractable style leash, and the owner is in possession of materials to clean up after their pet.


Q: Can we bring a cooler to the event?

A: No! Coolers are not permitted. Food, drinks, and alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase within the festival grounds.


Q: Are there ATM’s on site?

A: Yes! There will be an ATM kiosk station located within the carnival area.


Q: Is the event site ADA accessible?

A: Some portions of the event area are on concrete and will be ADA accessible. Other areas are on grass and will not be.


Q: What is there to do besides watching the bands?

A: Lots! In addition to visiting the Heroes Hut interactive kids area, you can shop the Vendor Expo, check out the American Heroes carnival, relax by the Main Stage, check out the amazing vehicles at the Car, Truck and Bike Show, and much more!


Q: What should we wear?

A: This is an outdoor event in Texas during November. Weather changes rapidly, so be prepared and plan accordingly. Wear comfortable shoes, bring a hat during the day, don’t forget the sunscreen, and be sure to bring a jacket or sweater for when the sun goes down so you don’t miss any of the awesome fireworks!


Q: Are we allowed to bring lawn chairs or a blanket?

A: Yes, but please be respectful of others. Chairs should be low to the ground and have backs at shoulder height. Keep in mind that unless otherwise noted, this is “festival viewing” with no reserved seating and patrons may be standing in front of you during a performance.  We want everyone to enjoy the concerts and have a great time. Be respectful of people around you and please share your space, get to know your neighbors, and make room for others.

Q: If a parent loses a child, where should they go?

A: The found children's area is at the City of The Colony Police Command Unit. We encourage your family to identify this spot (or another festival location) as a good place to meet in case anyone becomes separated.
